CHARLOTTE MECKLENBURG HEALTH DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

All Food Vendors must complete a Temporary Food Vendor Application with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Health Department.

A fee of $75.00 per permit must be paid with each Food Vendor Application.

Due to the high volume of scheduled events, submit all applications and fees at least 2 weeks prior to the event to allow for a complete review of the event applications.

HEALTH DEPARTMENT EXEMPTIONS

Temporary Food vendors who sell only non-potentially hazardous drinks, such as fresh-squeezed lemonade, coffee, tea, etc., are not required to obtain a permit from the health department.

Temporary Food vendors who sell only dipped ice cream, popcorn, candy apples, cotton candy, funnel cakes, soft pretzels and or pre-packaged chips or candy are not required to obtain a permit from the health department.
